Avera Heart Hospital 10th Annual Gift from the Heart Arts & Craft Sale
Friday 7am to 3pm @ Avera Heart Hospital
The event will feature the arts and crafts from area artists and craftspeople. Proceeds from the sale will support the Prairie Heart Guest House, which provides low cost accommodations for families of patients who are receiving treatment at the Avera Heart Hospital.

Orpheum Theater Centennial Celebration
Friday 4:30pm @ Orpheum Theater, Sioux Falls
Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, and 5-9 p.m. Centennial Kick Off event (free admission, open to the public). Entertainment provided by: Sioux Empire Community Theater, Jazzed with Bobby Gripp presented by the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society, Sioux Falls Municipal Band Brass Quintet, Washington High School Concert Choir, Dance Gallery, Main Stage Ballet & Dance Academy, and Balleraena Dance Studio. Orpheum Theater: 100 Years, a Sioux Falls CityLink documentary, will be shown throughout the evening starting at 5 p.m. A tour of the theater will be conducted immediately following the first showing

Third Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh In

Anyone can bring in a giant pumpkin, or any giant vegetable for the event. Ribbons and cash prizes will be given for pumpkins, watermelons, tomatoes, gourds, bring your garden trophies and show them off. The event happens at the Country Apple Orchard's Harvest Festival. 2013 Festival of Bands

12th Annual Showcase of Remodeled Homes
Saturday & Sunday in Sioux Falls
showcases eight homes that have been remodeled throughout the Sioux Empire (Sioux Falls and Harrisburg). The home tour will begin at noon both days and run until 5 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, with children two and under being free. Tickets are available at all of the Showcase homes and must be validated before entering
