Who Was the CMA Entertainer of the Year the Year You Graduated High School?

by Paul Heling

The Country Music Association started handing out CMA Awards in 1967.  The very first event was held at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium and was not televised.  TV did come into play in 1968 when NBC taped the ceremony and ran it a few weeks later.  It went live in 1969 and has been ever since.
