Beer Battered Deep Fried Green Beans!

With Spring here, I'm seeing fresh green beans in the grocery stores again! Here's a great recipe for fried green beans. They are dipped in a seasoned beer batter and deep fried until golden brown! So delicious and easy to do! And really fun to eat!

Beer Battered Deep Fried Green Beans


Peanut oil, for frying (or any oil, like vegetable or canola)

1 lb. fresh green beans (rinsed well with ends trimmed)

1 cup beer

1 cup flour

2 teaspoons seasoned salt

pepper to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika (or plain paprika)


Heat oil to 375 degrees. Whisk the beer, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika until it makes a smooth batter. Dip green beans into the batter, coating them. Let the excess drip off. Place in hot oil and fry until golden and crisp. Cook in batches so they won't stick together. Remove from oil and let drain on a paper towel lined plate. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
