Owen Howkins is only 7 years old and unfortunately suffers from an extremely rare condistion called Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, which leaves his muscle in a permanent state of tension.
Thanks to a dog who barely survived being hit by train by thugs who tied him to a railway line, Owen is finding happiness.
Before his parents adopted the family's three-legged Italian Shepherd Haatchi, Owen didn't like to go out and his mother Colleen says he was practically agoraphobic. He was scared of strangers and didn't want to talk to anyone.
