I'll bet Goodell ain't happy with THIS...

by Jim McKinney

So...there's this really old publication out of Maine called "The Farmer's Almanac"...not the "Old Farmer's Almanac"...but "The Farmer's"...well...you know...and it has presented its predictions for the upcoming year...including the winter season...for those of you who might remember...the NFL decided to award a cold-weather Super Bowl to a site with no dome...keep that thought handy...and it is planned for February 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in NJ...

Leafing through the "Almanac", one comes to the prediction about the winter ahead...and one will find that not only is the Great Lakes...the Midwest in general...and New England areas...set for a colder, snowier wintertime...but the East Coast area is set to get hit by a MAJOR winter event beginning on February 1st...and ending a few days later...

If you do the math...February 2nd is included in that range there...so if this prediction is true...the NFL...and Roger Goodell...will possibly have to deal with the first snowstorm to ever affect the league's crown jewel game...and it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people...

Goodell and his minions have a stranglehold on the sporting world...the NFL is THE major sport in America...and a few other places...but can you imagine how they will deal with wintry weather of this sort?  I can't wait...and I know that the first Super Bowl played at the Silverdome had brutally cold weather outside...but it was toasty inside...this game could end up with the heaviest precipitation since the Miami event a few years (notably remembered due to the halftime triumph by Prince...and oh yeah...the Colts finally won)...

I can't wait...
