How Was That NOT a Strike???

by Cade

Professional Japanese pitcher Kaz Tadano spent a short time with Cleveland back in 2004 and 2005. With only a single victory under his belt during that time, he decided to head back east and pitch for theHokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in Japan. In the MLB, it's rare see an "eephus" pitch. It's a high arcing, ridiculously slow toss that's meant to hit the top and back of the strike zone. It's a little more common to see in Japan. Watch as the batter is completely befuddled as to what he is seeing come at the plate. Check out this short video to see the ump just as shocked as the batter. But seriously Blue, ring him up already!
