Motorcycling is a family affair. I grew up on and around motorcycles and ATVs and some of my fondest childhood memories revolve around them. I remember going out to Dyracuse Recreational Park as a kid helping work the food stand or flagging and even working the enduro writing on time cards before there were electronic timers.
The Rapid Angels Motorcycle Club in partnership with the Town of Rome maintain Dyracuse Recreational Park and the Rapid Angels Host 3 events there each year to help cover the cost. The park is open to the public throughout the summer with the exception of these three weekends. April 27th Motocross, June 1st Hillclimb and September 21st Harescramble.
The first of these events the Motocross is coming up and I'm proud to say that I'm the official race announcer again this year. This event is so much fun for racers and spectators alike. There are classes from PeeWee to Senior with all ages and skill levels in between. There's food and refreshments on the grounds and even a very nice playground for the kids.
If you're looking for something to get your whole family outside and that will keep them entertained. Grab a chair and head on out to Dyracuse Recreational Park 15 miles south of Wisconsin Rapids off Hwy 13 South on County Rd O.
