Tim McGraw never listens to his current album unless he's about to start work on his next studio project. He says reviewing his previous work is essential to moving forward creatively.
Tim tells The Arizona Republic , "While I’m making the record and while I’m mixing it, I always make little notes of things I didn’t like, things I would change and improve on, how I can use this as a stepping stone to the next record."
Tim's goal of constantly improving his game runs across the board to his acting gigs and concerts. He says, "I’m always striving to get better. That’s the main thing I’m trying to do with every record, every night when I perform, every time I sing. I’m always working on my craft to try to be better than I was last time."
Tim's method continues to serve him well. His latest single, "Southern Girl," is currently climbing the country chart.
