Thune to hold town hall meetings

Washington, D.C. (KELO-AM) - Senator John Thune (R-S.D.) will be holding town hall meetings in Spearfish and Mobridge next week to discuss the recently passed tax relief package, the debt ceiling negotiations, and the need to cut spending in Washington.

“It is time for our country to face its most fundamental fiscal challenge, runaway debt that is crushing economic growth and opportunity,” said Thune. “Reducing federal spending is the only way to return our country to a sound fiscal footing. We have a lot of work to do and I want to hear from South Dakotans as Congress prepares to address federal spending in the weeks and months ahead.”

The public is encouraged to attend.
