Point guard Brandon Knight holding his own

(WNFL) - It's still just the pre-season, but the two young players the Milwaukee Bucks acquired in the Brandon Jennings trade are showing a lot of promise.  21-year-old point guard Brandon Knight held his own against Mike Conley in the Bucks' three-point loss at Memphis on Tuesday night.  The other player acquired in the deal, 22-year-old forward Khris Middleton, scored 15 points in the final 17 minutes against the Grizzlies.  Both players came from Detroit, where Jennings is out for three weeks due to problems with a wisdom tooth.  Knight said the Bucks' coaches are urging him to be more aggressive -- which he was on Tuesday when he kept penetrating the Grizzlies' defense, created open shots, and scored a team-high 19 points.  Knight said he wants more aggressive coverage on him, so he can get the ball to teammates for open shots more often.  Bucks' coach Larry Drew says Knight is a tough player who will give opponents all they can handle.  The Bucks are 0-and-4 in their exhibition schedule.  They're trying to shore up their game by holding more practices this week.  Their next pre-season contest is on Monday night at Chicago.
