UNDATED (WSAU) The Obama Administration will extend the deadline for buying health insurance by about 6-weeks. That means people who purchase coverage as part of the Affordable Care Act will have the enrollment deadline pushed back from February 15th to March 31st.
It's not clear if such an adjustment would have to be approved by Congress.
The Obama administration has come under much criticism for the numerous glitches in the system.
Meanwhile, the US House of Representatives opens a series of hearings on the troubled rollout of the healthcare.gov website today. The launch has been paralyzed by technical glitches.
The witness list for today's hearing includes some of the private contractors who took part in building the website.
