SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - There is great demand for retail workers in southeast South Dakota.
The Manager for Labor and Regulation in Sioux Falls, Greg Johnson, says most open, retail jobs are seasonal part time.
But, Johnson says retailers also have permanent, full time career opportunities. He says that's a change from year's past. Sometimes there are no permanent jobs offered by retailers during November and December. He says retailers are so busy with the holiday season coming up. But part time jobs may now lead into careers.
Johnson says Labor and Regulation offices across South Dakota offer free assistance to job seekers.
That includes building a resume from scratch, reworking an old one and attaching your resume to an online application.
The Department of Labor and Regulation office in Sioux Falls is at 811 East Tenth Street.
