Keith Urban 's new album , Fuse , includes a duet with Miranda Lambert on the new single "We Were Us," as well as a collaboration with Eric Church on "Raise 'Em Up."  Keith has known Miranda for years now, since she first opened shows for him back in 2005.  His relationship with Eric Church didn't really begin until Keith heard Eric's platinum 2011 album, Chief .

" Chief is one of my favorite records of the last, easily the last 10 years, if not more," Keith says. "It's just top to bottom, it’s just a great, great record."

As Keith and Eric got to know each other better, their families began hanging out quite a bit in Nashville. The conversation between the two country stars always turned to music, though.

Keith explains, "He would be turning me on to new music, and I’d texting him about, "You gotta listen to 'Bankrupt’ by Dr. Hook !" We’re trying to hip each other with records we love that probably the other guy hasn’t heard, so that sort of, that banter started sort of started happening pretty regularly."

Since they hit it off so well musically, Keith wanted to include a duet with Eric on Fuse. That's when Keith came across the anthem, "Raise 'Em up."

"It wasn’t written as a duet, but it just struck me as the perfect song," Keith says. "There’s a particular theme, really, in the song, particularly in the second verse that I felt was just perfect for Eric. I was really happy that he came and sang on it."

Fuse is now in stores and also features Keith's latest #1 hit, "Little Bit of Everything."
