WICHITA, Kan. (KWSN)– Wichita State got 12 kills from Sam Sanders and 11 kills from Ashley Andrade and Katie Reilly to beat the South Dakota volleyball team 25-22, 25-14, 26-24 on Friday night in the Shocker Volleyball Classic.
The Shockers had 15 or more kills in all three sets and won the kills stat 49-38. They also had a 43-27 digs advantage and a 9-5 blocks advantage.
Kendall Kritenbrink led the Coyotes (9-5) in kills for the 13th time this season with 14 while Kelsey Biltoft added eight kills. Kritenbrink and Audrey Reeg led USD in digs with six each, Tori Kroll had 33 assists and Melissa Firtko had five blocks.
South Dakota will play No. 23 Creighton on Saturday at 5 p.m. to finish the tournament.
