Thomas Rhett has been writing songs and working on his debut album, It Goes Like This , for several years. He's finished work on the project, and the title cut has gone on to become his breakthrough hit. As for the rest of the album, Thomas admits it wasn't easy knowing when it was complete.
He says, "I’m not sure that you can ever find one artist who is fully satisfied with what they’ve done. Especially being an artist/songwriter like myself. I write so many songs that even if I were done with a record, I would have to have people talk me out of going back in and cutting ten more songs."
Thomas had a lot of meetings with his record label president to decide which songs should make the final cut. If he had his way, there would be a lot more than the standard 11 to 15 tracks on the album though.
"I would put thirty on my record," Thomas says.
Look for Thomas Rhett's debut album, It Goes Like This , to hit stores October 29.
