Undated (KELO-AM) a 42 year old South Dakota cold case is now closed.
State Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Tuesday that DNA taken from the remains found in an old car in a creek near Elk Point last year prove that they are Cheryl Miller and Pamela Jackson, missing since 1971.
Jackley says there was no foul play. He says the girls from Vermillion simply died in a tragic car accident. He says there was no alcohol involved in the crash.
