HURON, S.D. (KELO-AM) – The South Dakota State Fair Foundation announced today that Wheat Growers has given a $50,000 gift to the Capital Campaign for the building of a new exhibit hall on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds.
“Wheat Growers is proud to support the construction of the 4-H building on the State Fairgrounds in Huron,” said Steve Briggs, Wheat Growers’ senior vice president of Agronomy and Corporate Marketing. “4-H is an organization that helps develop our future agricultural leaders and we are proud that we can participate in a partnership with this outstanding organization.”
“This generous contribution demonstrates Wheat Growers’ commitment to 4-H, youth development and the continued success of the South Dakota State Fair,” said Jerome Hertel, SD State Fair director.
The new 46,910 square-foot exhibit hall will feature more than 35,000 square feet of exhibit space, multiple classrooms, a large kitchen for 4-H Special Foods competitions, year-round concessions and a performance stage.
