SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls is on the northern edge of a potent storm system that could dump one to two inches of rain overnight.
But Forecaster Todd Heitkamp says the heaviest rain will fall south of Sioux Falls.
He says residents in northeast Nebraska, Sioux City, Iowa and northwest Iowa could see from two to four inches of rains by Thursday night.
Heitkamp says the Labor Day forecast calls for highs near eighty and a good chance for rain late Sunday night into Monday.
