PIERRE, S.D (KELO-AM) –   Attorney General Marty Jackley and Union County States Attorney Jerry Miller announced today that Gregory James Enright, 30, Sioux City, Iowa, was sentenced to 2 counts of possession with intent to distribute and one count of conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute.  Enright was sentenced to 30 years with 21 suspended on conditions. Enright was also sentenced to one count of failure to pay sales tax, class one misdemeanor.

“Enright knowingly manufactured and sold dangerous and illegal substances for significant profit,” said Jackley. “Law enforcement’s cooperative efforts have removed these dangerous substances from our streets making our communities safer.”

Charges stemmed from a 6 month investigation into Enright’s business Mr.Yucks, which was located in North Sioux City, South Dakota. This investigation netted over 8 kilograms of synthetic cannabinoid powder, over 100 pounds of plant material and over 10,000 1 to 5 gram bags of ready to distribute “K2”.  Enright was manufacturing and selling these products from his business.

This case was investigated by the DEA Tri-State Drug Task Force, which includes officers from the following agencies: Nebraska State Patrol, Sioux City Police Department, Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, South Sioux City Police Department, and the Division of Criminal Investigation. Other agencies that assisted with the investigation were the South Dakota Highway Patrol, North Sioux City Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Office. This case was prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office and the Union County States Attorney.
