PIERRE, S.D. (KELO_AM) – The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) will provide free archery training to educators at the Fort Pierre Elementary School in Fort Pierre on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. CDT.
The upcoming training is part of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP); allowing schools across South Dakota to safely incorporate archery in their classroom curriculum at no cost. Parents who provide homeschool education are also encouraged to attend this free training.

Upon successful completion of the training, new schools to the program are eligible to receive free archery equipment provided by the department. All participants are able to enter their students in the 2015 NASP state tournament.
