Nashville, TN (KWSN) - An independent film documenting the life and legacy of former NSU Men’s Basketball coach Don Meyer is set to begin filming in Nashville next month.
“My Many Sons” will be filmed primarily in Nashville, where Myer was the head coach for Lipscomb University, with some scenes shot in Aberdeen as well. Casey Bond, best known for his role as Chad Bradford of the Oakland A’s in 2011’s Moneyball, has signed on to produce the film through Higher Purpose Entertainment.
The movie is tentatively slated to premier in March 2015, with premiers held in both Nashville and Aberdeen. While producers say funding is in place, they are still asking for donations to help should the film run over budget. Donations are being accepted at www.donmeyermovie.com and are tax deductible.
