Pierre (KELO AM) – Jolene’s Law Task Force will meet Tuesday, August 5, 2014, in LCR 1 & 2 on the third floor of the State Capitol, at 10:00 a.m. (CDT). The task force was established by Senate Bill 154 during the 2014 legislative session to study the impact of sexual abuse of children in South Dakota and to discuss recommendations to increase awareness and address the issue statewide.
The task force will meet several times throughout the remainder of the year and will file a report to the full Legislature in January.At the August 5th meeting, the task force will hear reports from various state departments regarding the current laws and programs related to sexual abuse of children.
