SIOUX FALLS, SD (KWSN) – The Sioux Falls Storm closed down the Storm Shelter in familiar fashion Saturday night.
The Storm won their 42nd straight home game and another championship by defeating the Nebraska Danger 63 – 46 in the United Bowl. The second four-peat is complete.
Most of the first half was even, until the Storm scored twice late in the first half to take a 28 – 14 lead into the intermission.
The Storm scored on their first five possessions of the second half to take control of the game, with co-MVPs Chris Dixon and James Terry teaming up on offense.
Terry had eight catches for 94 yards and five touchdowns, with another on the ground. Dixon was 14 of 22, 157 yards, six touchdowns and a pick. He also rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
The Storm will move to the Denny Sanford Premiere Center next year to start the Drive for Five.
