From the start of the pandemic last March through this past March, Sioux Falls’ construction employment did not change.
That’s according to a survey by the Associated General Contractors.
Two hundred and three metro areas saw declines.
Sioux Falls construction employment remained steady at 8,500 workers from March 2020 to March 2021.
Fargo had the second-highest gain in construction employment during the same period.
Fargo gained 1,800 workers for a 24% gain.
Rapid City saw a 6% gain of 300 construction, logging, or mining workers.
