BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Members of the South Dakota Legislature met with Medgene Lab officials in Brookings at their vaccine production facility to discuss whether or not the immunological service providers could ascertain funding for a COVID-19 vaccine geared toward companion animals.
According to lab officials, the vaccine in current production has shown promise in preclinical trials. State Legislators will convene on October 5th in Pierre during a special session to further discuss whether or not the state will financially back a rollout of the vaccine.
