SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Once again here are the highlights–or lowlights–of Thursday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
- MAN ON ROOF OF LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER
A man who somehow got on the roof of the Sioux Falls Law Enforcement Center yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon is arrested.
Police say Britt Fitzpatrick Murphy, 33, from Sioux Falls made it to the top of the maintenance shop roof.
Murphy is charged with trespassing and climbing on a structure without permission.
- BAD GOOD SAMARITANS CAUGHT
Three Sioux Falls men sit in the Minnehaha County Jail accused of being bad Samaritans who helped–then robbed three women with a handgun last weekend.
Sioux Falls Police say that Shawn Michael Long, 30, Sterling George Spotted Elk, Jr., 32, and a third suspect were served warrants for armed robbery.
They’re in jail on $50,000 cash bonds.
Last Saturday, the women called for help in east Sioux Falls.
The men helped them with their car then followed them back to their apartment.
No one was injured.
- GUNS AND DRUGS
Two men and a woman are behind bars after being arrested by Sioux Falls police on a number of drug and firearms charges.
On a traffic check, police found meth, marijuana, and concealed pistol in a backpack with an altered serial number.
Charged are Timothy Terrell Wilson, 30; Jeremiah James Dean Guse (Goosey), 30, and Katy Jo Coyle, 39.
All are from Sioux Falls.
