SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Kuehn Park Pool will open to the public for the summer season at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Frank Olson Pool will open for outdoor swimming lessons on Monday, June 14, 2021, and swim team practice on scheduled weekday mornings and evenings. However, along with the McKennan Wading Pool, it will remain closed for open swim until additional lifeguards can be hired, certified, and trained. Lifeguards are not required for swim team practices. Those interested in serving their community as a lifeguard can apply online at www.siouxfalls.org/parks-jobs by completing an application.
Kuehn Park Pool, Laurel Oak, and Terrace Park Family Aquatic Centers will also begin outdoor swimming lessons on Monday, June 14, 2021.
Pool passes may be used at any one of the following City aquatic facilities currently open:
- Drake Springs Family Aquatic Center, 301 South Fairfax Avenue
- Kuehn Park Pool, 2309 Kuehn Park Road – – – opening June 12, 2021
- Laurel Oak Family Aquatic Center, 3401 East 49th Street
- Midco® Aquatic Center, 1601 South Western Avenue
- Pioneer Spray Park, Pine Street and Jessica Avenue
- Terrace Park Family Aquatic Center, 1001 West Madison Avenue
