Yesterday (1/29) I watched the classic Lord of the Flies – the 1963 movie that captures humanities roots in its rawest form. The story is about 30 boys crashing on an island and having to survive using only their instincts. It’s a great commentary on the human condition. I’ve read the book back in high school, and this seems to be a pretty faithful adaption of the book. While it’s definitely not a great movie by any means, the movie is good, and I did enjoy it. The pacing is consistent, and the child actors are pretty decent. Overall, it’s a fine watch, and if you don’t want to read the book, this is a great way to get the story.
I give this one 3 out of 5 stars
