PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Election integrity is at the center of a move to forbid the use of vote centers in South Dakota. State Representative Tom Pischke of Dell Rapids has sponsored a bill to end their use, calling them illegal, unconstitutional and unreliable.
Auditors and officials from counties that use the centers spoke against the measure, saying they don’t use the e-poll pads Senator Pischke referred to. Still, the bill passed on a 5-3 committee vote and moves to the full Senate.
