Last night (2/24) my wife Dakota and I watched a movie called Snack Shack. It released last year (2024) and is a coming of age story about two teenagers who are trying to make a buck, so they open their own Snack Shack by the pool for the summer. But things start to go awry when a girl gets in between the both of them. Honestly, when people say, “oh this is a Robert movie,” this is what they mean. The director of this movie also directed Dakota’s favorite movie of all time called Dinner in America, and this movie had the exact same vibe. It’s fantastic, relatable, and I wish there were more movies that had this tone. Dakota says: “I love this movie! Why aren’t there more films like this! I need more! I love this type of stuff where the kids are just having fun, learning life lessons, and I felt every emotion while watching it. This is absolutely in my Top 10 of all time. Can’t wait to rewatch it.”
I give this one 4 ½ out of 5 stars
