Teen dies in Stanley County accident

FORT PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — More tragedy from Stanley County. A teenager from rural Fort Pierre has died as a result of a one vehicle accident Saturday night. A Stanley County Deputy Sheriff says the 13-year-old was in a Jeep in an Off Road Vehicle area when the incident happened. He was transported by AMR ambulance to Pierre where he succumbed to his injuries. The Off Road Vehicle area is just south of the Oahe Dam, off of Highway 1806. The accident remains under investigation.
