I watched (on 1/23) David Lynch’s movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. It’s a prequel movie to the TV show Twin Peaks. I never saw the show before, but I’ve loved David Lynch movies for a long time, yet I never watched Twin Peaks. After Lynch’s passing, I made the commitment to watch through the show and the movie and I’ve finished. Fantastic series! Season 1 is excellent, Season 2 is great – but after episode 10 it tapers off. The “mystery” for the second half of season 2 is fine, but the finale of the show is absolutely phenomenal! Afterwards, I watched the movie that released a year later called Fire Walk With Me – a prequel story leading to the events of the show. If you like murder-mystery stories with weird happenings in “smalltown USA” you’ll really dig the show and this movie. My wife has peaked interest, and has just started watching the show, and we’ll watch the movie together when she finishes season 2. I’m aware of Season 3, and I’m excited to begin that.
I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars
