I went to the movie theater (4/3) and saw a movie that was released last Friday (3/28) called Death of a Unicorn. It stars Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega and their chemistry on screen is awesome! It’s about a dad and his daughter pitching ideas to a medical based family, but on the way they hit a unicorn similar to how someone would hit a deer on the road. They discover it’s magical powers, but the other unicorns in the forest know what’s going on and want revenge. The whole movie isn’t scary, but the second half of the movie becomes a horror film. It’s a really cool and unique story. I’m a big fan. It’s fun to see unicorns – instead of being “princess & rainbows” they’re huge, horror, monster creature icons. It’s so fun, but know there is blood, gore, death, drug usage, and language throughout the movie. The R-rating is real for this one, so don’t go in thinking you can have the kids tag along. If you’re an adult and like weird twists on original concepts of movies, and you’re cool with horror elements in your fantasy stories, this is a really fun watch!
I give this one 3 ½ out of 5 stars
