CANTON, SD (KELO.com) — Lincoln County Commissioners have laid the groundwork for selecting a new commissioner. Betty Otten resigned last Thursday, citing health concerns. Lincoln County residents who want to fill the vacancy have until next Monday to submit a letter of interest. Commissioners plan to hold open interviews during night sessions beginning Tuesday, June 30th. They will add extra interview sessions as needed, depending upon the number of people who express an interest in filling the commission seat.
