Foundations join South Dakota grocer in efforts to provide food to remote areas

RURAL SOUTH DAKOTA  (KELO.com) — Fighting food insecurity in rural and tribal areas has become his life mission.  Now, RF Buche has the backing of grant funding to help him make it happen.  Team Buche Cares is the non-profit wing of the GF Buche chain of grocery stores in South Dakota.  Its locations provide grocery services to some of the most remote areas of South Dakota.  Many are near Indian Reservations.  Team Buch purchased the Mobile Hunger Hero food truck last year.  The South Dakota Community Foundation and the Bush Foundation are helping to fund the operations that now serves 121 communities.
