SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –The Sioux Falls Little League team had their season come to an end on Monday when they were defeated 9-4 by Minnesota, eliminating them from the Midwest Regional.
Minnesota jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first but they exploded in the third and fourth innings taking as large as a 9-0 lead before Sioux Falls was able to score a couple themselves.
The first two Sioux Falls runs were scored on bases loaded walks, but Kellan Artz knocked in the third with a nice RBI single to right before the threat ended.
The team from South Dakota would score one more run the rest of the way, but ultimately it was Minnesota who would take this one and eliminate South Dakota in the process.
