PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) –Today, Governor Larry Rhoden ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in honor of former state treasurer Dave Volk.
He served as the state treasurer from 1973 until 1990.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 pm CT on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Country Club of Sioux Falls, 3400 W. 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105.
