In 2011, Hartford started a new holiday tradition with Hometown Christmas. The theme for 2023 is "Christmas in Toyland". This years event will feature a craft show, visits by Santa & Mrs. Claus, kids carnival & activities, gingerbread house contest, cookie decorating, one of the biggest lighted parades in the region, and more! Hometown Christmas has something for all ages

- Cookie Decorating @ Buffalo Ridge Brewery (Open until 5PM)
- Gingerbread House Contest @ 120 Main Events (Open until 5PM)
- Mini Christmas Tree Contest @ Senior Center (Open until 5PM)
- Meals: West Central Music Association @ Hartford Fire Station, Wild Turkey Federation @ Becker Center, and After Prom @ Becker Center
