5 questions with Chris Calhoun

1) How did you get your start in broadcasting?

I caught the radio bug working on the campus station at Sioux Falls College (Now USF…yes it was a long time ago!!) My 1st real radio job was at KIOA in Des Moines, IA and I’ve been with Big Country since 1993

2) Who makes up the Calhoun clan?

I married my wonderful wife Kim in 1994. We have 3 kids, Kaitlyn, Carson, and Camden.

3) What was the best concert you have ever attended?

Any George Strait show! His Metrodome show in ‘98 was my favorite, it also featured Tim Mc Graw and Faith Hill (before they were married) as openers.

4) What’s the most common question people ask when they find out you work at Big Country?

Are you Chris Carter?!

5) If you could pick one song title to describe your personality what would it be?

“You say it best when you say nothing at all” (not nice Kim…not nice!!)
