Last night I had the pleasure of showing my wife Dakota the Looney Tunes movie The Day the Earth Blew Up (2025). This movie was released earlier this year (March), and I got to see it by myself. I just picked up a Bluray copy of the film, and showed my wife and son this movie. The whole time, my 2 year old kept saying, “Silly Daffy!” to everything, while my wife and I were able to appreciate the humor throughout the movie. It’s the little things that make it so amazing, like band-aids on the cracks of windows, the sign in the background that says “buy groceries,” and the aversion of expectations throughout the whole movie. Seeing this a second time was so awesome, and I’m so happy my family could enjoy this Looney Tunes project as much as I did.
I give this movie 4 ½ stars out of 5 because I got to enjoy this with my family, which made it that much better – You can see what I’m currently watching by following me on Letterboxd @ roberthawk
