Union County Sheriff's Office badge
ELK POINT, SD (KELO.com) — The AFSCME labor union has filed an Unfair Labor Practice charge against Union County after the firing of two deputies. Zach Brown and Kevin O’Mahoney were terminated by Sheriff Jim Prouty. Brown and O’Mahoney are members of the union’s negotiating team and openly supported Prouty’s opponent in the June 2nd election. The Union also cited two other recent firings in a news release.
