July 14 (Reuters) – The U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted Tuesday on a bill to make daylight saving time year-round and end the twice yearly practice of changing clocks.
The 308-117 vote sends the bill to the U.S. Senate for consideration. President Donald Trump strongly backs the measure. If approved the clocks would not to return to standard time in November, while states would have the option of opting out of year-round daylight saving time.
