PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — It’s primary runoff election eve, and South Dakota Republicans are still waiting to hear Aberdeen Businessman Toby Doeden’s choice for a running mate. The Dakota Scout reports four are on the short list. They are: former State House Speaker Steve Haugaard, Rapid City legislator Taffy Howard, Madison lawmaker Casey Crabtree and longtime state government official and political operative Jason Williams. Doeden is challenging Governor Larry Rhoden in tomorrow’s GOP Gubernatorial runoff election.
