SIOUX FALLS, S,D. (KELO.com) – The new Amazon delivery station in Sioux Falls is now up and running.
The 108-thousand-square-foot facility has two vehicle “launchpads” on its sides and expands a last-mile delivery capacity for people in four different states.
The facility is processing about 37-thousand packages per day but could expand to 57-thousand packages during peak holiday season.
All 200 employees from the previous delivery station were retained and brought over to the new station, and the company hired additional 50 employees to help at the bigger plant.
Amazon says they have invested about one-billion dollars in the state and has about two-thousand full-time employees.
