SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Social Security recipients will receive a 3.6-percent cost of living adjustment in their benefits.
AARP South Dakota Director Erik Gaikowski says it’s needed.
He says his agency is hearing from seniors about their struggles to keep up with inflation eating away at their income.
Social Security represents half of the monthly income for 40% for those receiving benefits.
